Karoline Leavitt is a complete disgrace.

Her violent and unhinged rhetoric is going to get someone killed.

These extremists are sick people.

@ppfideas.bsky.social I enjoyed the episodes on dignity with David and Lea. One point, though: the postwar emphasis on dignity came less from Kant and more from Catholic personalism, associated with people like Jacques Maritain. I just recorded a podcast on this: podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/m...

Horst Wessel.
“Honoring Babbitt …blurs the line between lawful sacrifice and unlawful violence. It tells those who gave their lives in defense of the Constitution that their oath was no more meaningful than the motivations of the mob that attacked the Constitution.”

Honoring Ashli Babbitt Dishonors the Military
If there’s no difference between upholding the Constitution and attacking it, then there’s no honor in service.

Oh look, they’re still doing their “stern letter” response to fascism.
News --> Top Dems are demanding that the Pentagon disclose any/all internal memos and policy guidance involving DHS's push for more militarization of domestic enforcement.

It's a response to our reporting on DHS talks w/Pentagon on this. Details in my new piece:

“Alarming”: Trump’s Threat of Troops in Cities Just Got Much Scarier
Top Democrats are demanding that the Pentagon release documentation of internal conversations about future militarization of domestic law enforcement.

Why oh why can’t leftists use basic moral language? The word you are looking for here is evil.
The USAID debacle remains one of the most haunting aspects of the first months of the Trump II presidency. And the collective inability, unwillingness, and indifference of the courts to rein it in is a sobering sign of the limits of judicial power.

Oz’s lord and master watches a lot more TV than that.
how many hours of tv does the president watch a day
Mehmet Oz: "It is reprehensible to criticize the president on this I think very earnest effort to save Medicaid ... an able-bodied person on Medicaid today watches about 6.1 hours of television or just hangs out -- leisure time. That's a lot of time."

Well, the leader of the movement told people to inject bleach into their veins so zombie climate change denialism is pretty mild!
I suppose I shouldn't be surprised that dog brained climate denialism is coming back, but I really had thought they'd given up on that one
I’m seeing conservatives claim CO2 doesn’t cause climate change because it’s a very small part of the atmosphere (.04 ish percent). By analogy, I think you should be able to drive after blowing a .08, since the vast majority of your blood isn’t alcohol

Easy. Distract from Epstein.
Setting aside the self-evident, unconstitutional fascism of a domestic military occupation, I'm just wondering what the goal here is. What does he actually want the military to do? Improve already low urban crime rates? Prevent protests? Kill undesirable people? What's the objective?
Comer: "We're gonna support doing this in other cities if it works out in Washington DC. We spend a lot on our military. Our military has been in many countries around the world for the past two decades walking the streets trying to reduce crime. We need to focus on the big cities in America now."

Episode 3 of Moral Revolution, the podcast I’m doing what @laurasegafredo.bsky.social, is now live. This one is on the enduring importance of Laudato Si’, Pope Francis’s encyclical from 2015.
New pod drop: 10 years after Laudato Si’, its call for ecological justice & moral courage is more urgent than ever. 🌱

We break down why this encyclical still matters for the Church, the climate, and anyone who cares about our shared future. Listen in for stories, context, and a look at what’s next.

87 years ago, President Roosevelt signed the Fair Labor Standards Act into law, establishing the 40-hour workweek, child labor protections, overtime pay, minimum wage and more.

These protections were won because workers stood up, organized and demanded better.

A U.S. citizen on their way to work abducted by ICE then locked in a basement, with federal government employees refusing to consider indisputable proof of citizenship.

Congress endorses it. SCOTUS keeps thwarting judges from even slowing it.

What more is there to say? We live under fascism now.
I spoke to employers who were seeking to help employees abducted by ICE - including one boss seeking freedom for a U.S. citizen staffer who was arrested in the space between their uber and the front door of their workplace.

Their boss had their U.S. passport in hand, pleading for their release.

In June of 1877, 10 Irish miners—the Molly Maguires—were hanged to silence their demand for dignity. As a union working-class daughter, I honor their courage. They fought for fair wages and justice underground and above. Their struggle lives on in every worker who still dares to organize—Onward! #1u

The SS and the Gestapo would do the same - wait outside prisons for people to be released, and then put them in a concentration camp.
Huge news with a huge caveat; this does NOT mean that he will be released, as ICE will immediately detain him if he leaves criminal custody.
