The nice thing about having a day off for a doctor appt, is getting to sleep in, having a lovely breakfast served on pretty dishes and having time to do some writerly things when you would normally be at work… 💜 #writerlythings

Today's been a domestic day, & I've really enjoyed the slow pace. Picked blueberries, gathered mint, pulled weeds in my little garden, picked a zucchini, fertilized my jalapeno plants, gathered some thyme & made corn/potato chowder, (delish!) Citrus mint green tea and honeysuckle cream's steeping...

Had a great story time today at the NC Museum of Natural Sciences at Whiteville learning about dandelions and reading DANDELION MAGIC by Darren Farrell. We played with homemade dandelion play dough and had a blast!

I’ve hosted 3 social events plus family dinner in the last 8 days. I’m tired but I love having people in my home. It’s old & needs lots of TLC, but it’s a home full of ❤️ & people feel that!

Put up my little Christmas tree in my music room today, and got observed by district personnel in a walkthrough observation. She stayed almost the whole lesson & praised my classroom management and structure.
