Late fall is such a welcoming time of year when things slow down for the transition into winter, but it’s still warm enough to go outside and appreciate the beautiful colors and soft fragrances of the season.

Today’s indulgence… Fresh peach cobbler, made with two juicy ripe peaches topped with a rich shortcake style cobbler plus lots of cinnamon. I couldn’t wait to dig into it.

Oh… The first muffins of autumn. Maple walnut muffins fresh from the oven and the house smells amazing. I can’t wait to break into one of these with some soft butter. Just the first of a long list I plan to bake in the upcoming months.
