Twitter escapee. Remainer. Vaguely leftish. Half Man Half Biscuit. Amazing Blondel. XTC.
I doubt it, but they might stop the Greens from doing it.

Would a “further erosion” even be possible?

Does it matter whether we believe her or not? After Boris Johnson, it’d be laughable to expect honesty from a politician.

On GBNews? Do me a favour.

From where I’m sitting, it doesn’t feel like the mainstream media, and the BBC in particular, are going to give us a choice.

Also, it’s not ‘only now’; these allegations were raised as early as 2013, but the complainants were anonymous.

I’m not that worried. The Mail might be spiteful and reactionary, but of late the Telegraph has been insane. I can live with nasty and slightly more erudite nasty.

Spoiler alert: they won’t.

(by way, just finished HTBB, a useful reminder that, however bad things seem now, they could have been slightly worse)

Translation: “Nathan *who*?”

That’s a fair point

Why bribery, and not treason, tho?

I see it more like those photos you get on cigarette packets: no one’s going stop you, but do you really want to?

The fact she’s done her publicity shot in a cupboard is probably a clue as to the merits of her output.

It might force the media, or at least the BBC, the think before they platform him.

I don’t know what he’s done, and I’ve generally enjoyed his work, but I’ve always been slightly suspicious of him after learning the character was co-created by Andrew Doyle.

My ironymeter exploded when I read the third Downing Street source say that, if Labour ousted Starmer, the public would think they were ‘just like the last lot’.
November 12, 2025 at 7:37 AM
It’s not ideal that we only hear about these things from private individuals on social media who happen to support Labour. Where is the Comms strategy? Labour have been disappointing, but they’re preferable to the most viable alternatives yet they’re throwing the chance of reelection away.

I managed about 20 minutes before saying to myself, “well, they won’t be asking her back again.”. Would have been sooner, but I was probably in a state of shock at seeing a #politicslive host challenging a Tory guest.

How long has he been Justice Secretary for?
November 6, 2025 at 9:51 AM
In using the word ‘buy’ rather than believe, you’re inviting scepticism. Lammy’s been in post a few weeks, and Labour weren’t even in government for 4 out of the 12 months for which stats are being reported, and working with what the Tories left them for the rest. Be better.

I think leaving off the spoken/shouted intro was a missed opportunity but it still deserves to be more appreciated than it is.
