Good luck to Sean Fusire out at Carlisle. Big challenge ahead up there. Will be interested to see how he gets on.

On Ugbo, I thought he played well. Penalty wasn't great but I understand why he took it. He just needs one to go in off him. You can see it's having an effect on him.

Referee was poor. Lost it totally at times. It took a near rugby tackle for us to get anything from him in the early part of the 2nd half.

Pleased for Otegbayo to get a goal. Another good performance for him off the bench. Thought generally we were good, just that cutting edge and individual errors again.

Frustrating one, today. Should have won it. Could easily have been 3-0 up before half time. Lost our heads a bit in a mad half hour, still didn't deserve to be 2-1 down. #swfc

Windass' goal. Wow. Was left speachless at the time. Just a sublime strike. I wasn't annoyed at him shooting from there but didn't think it was going to dip at the right moment, and then it did. Fantastic goal. Fantastic moment. Delighted for him. #swfc

Some really good performances today, it felt like we were more at it from the get-go than we have been in recent games. Subs were good and really changed the game. Felt like we needed to grab hold of it at half time and we did.

Really enjoyed today's game at Hillsborough. Fantastic result. Some really pleasing aspects of the performance. Great way to start 2025. #swfc

Hopefully can start 2025 with a win today. Always nice to beat that lot. #swfc

Last one. Couple of complaints about the Sky coverage. Firstly, why have they decided it's a good idea to cut away from the action to have a focus in on the manager while the ball is in play?

Secondly, it was clear the main commentator (didn't catch his name) hasn't watched us much this season.

Windass' goal was superb. Shame it didn't lead to getting something out of the game but a super goal none the less. #swfc

I think the big thing is that if we have too many 5 or 6's out of 10 then we just aren't quite the same team. Not to say I thought we were bad, we wern't, just not at that level we know we can get to.

Didn't deserve to lose that, for me. Thought we were the better side for large spells, fair play to them for taking their chances. Referee was poor, not sure how Greenwood avoided a booking for two elbows, a high boot and time wasting.

Another big test today at Preston. Hopefully a repeat of last year's result. #swfc

Think the first half an hour, every mistake we made seemed to get punished and when that happens, it's easy for heads to go down. Windass and Johnson both could easily have scored. #swfc

What a made game, eh. First half hour we weren't at it. Thought we showed some signs after that and could have gone in at half time at 3-2. Fully deserved something based on the second half. Credit Danny for changing it, massive credit to Inglesson and Chalobah. Both excellent.

That refereeing performance by Sam Allison is the worst I’ve seen since Sam Allison refereed us earlier this season #swfc

Fantastic save, this. Pleased for Beadle. Stoke gave him some right hammer. Glad he got the last laugh.
SAVED!!!! Super James Beadle in goal!

Pleased for Windass and Paterson. Thought Josh played really well and took some right hammer from them. Glad Pato got a goal, worked hard when he came on. Really good play from Charles and Valery to win it and then put it on a plate for him.

Thought at half time a point would be a decent result given we were kicking into the wind and down to ten. Danny made a bold switch, and it paid off.

Really pleased with everything from today. The result, the performance, the spirit and character shown down to 10 men. #swfc

Could do with a good home win and performance today. Danny has been asking for a big atmosphere, so lets give him one.

That kit clash with Newcastle and Brentford is horrific.

Personally, think today's game will be tougher than most think. Didn't beat Oxford at all in League One. Probably caused us the most problems over those two seasons. Think it's the type of game we haven't dealt well with over the last 18 months or so.

There will be a lot of talk about January and spending money. If we don't have it, there's no point having the discussion. I think I'd rather try and develop some of the younger lads and integrate them into the side (which we haven't done properly at this level in ages) than a loan or two.
