Washed up ex-politician with nerd tastes e.g. prog rock, ttrpgs, comic books and using archaic latinisms like "e.g." Wrote a book, Californio Lancers (University of Oklahoma Press, 2015), a while back. It got some recognition back in the day.

Its funny how folks who call for the privatization of Amtrak point to examples like China where passenger rail is also a government enterprise. Musk helped to kill passenger rail in California by proposing an impractical alternative, so his history on this issue is problematic to say the least.

Exactly. When I was in the legislature in Arizona, this issue came up. Weirdly enough, barbers are regulated separately from hair stylists. I was never able to figure out if there was a practical reason for this, or if it is just about sexism.

These people probably think that Kevin Sorbo's Oscar snub is proof that there is some kind of conspiracy by the man to keep mediocrity down.

Of course, there is the possibility that he is perfectly lucid and that he is just a bullshitter per Harry Frankfurt.

I can picture both Omelet Hut and Yogurt Yurt in complete detail, even the signs and the typeface on the menu board.
