“IN THE SOUP” When Walter Ego makes soup for the Mötley Tribe, Goldie, the Pig is all in, particularly when it’s pea soup. However, the rest of the Mötley Tribe is quite skeptical of this soup, because of its unusual color.

“WASHITSU W/TSUBO-NIWA” A traditional Japanese – style room, known as “Washitsu” which features several characteristic elements of such a room. The “Tsubo-niwa” is a quasi-indoor garden. Drawn from an internet photo. Done as part of another simul-sketch session with my son who lives 300 miles away.

“A SOFT TOY? REALLY?” When Goldie the Pig’s BFF and perennial benefactor, Walter Ego, bought a “soft toy” for the little piggy’s birthday, he wasn’t paying attention to the size. Instead of the appropriate “XS” he ordered the”2XL” AARDVARK soft toy! , he invariably goofs.l.

“SOUND GARDEN” It’s INKTOBER, but it’s also ARCHINKTOBER and that was the Day 14 prompt. An internet search with that heading offered this project by RED BARN arch, a Turkish design firm. It’s the Red Bull Music Academy stage for the Babylon Soundgarden Music Festival in 2016.

“LA MAISON CARRÉE” It’s INKTOBER, but it’s also ARCHINKTOBER and the Day 22 prompt was “Temple.”! My response was a very quick sketch of this classic, historic Roman templein Neme in the south of France. Done with TEMU fountain pen with grey and black ink in an 5.5” x 8.25” MUJI sketchbook.
