A few very distant Cranes through the heat haze from when we visited Slimbridge on the on BBCRadio3 Breakfast roadtrip. Today's dawn chorus started with Cranes on the plains of Spain. Elgar's Sospiri on the way shortly and a fantastic festival overture by Madeleine Dring. Yay!

Love this painting of Joseph Bologne! Master swordsman & star violinist in Paris at the end of the 18th century. One of his violin concertos in Thursday's Breakfast on BBCRadio3. The dawn chorus was a Collared Forest-Falcon. & Bach Before 7 is a warning to watch out for the Devil!

A Magpie at sunset last night. A bit too hard on the ear for the Breakfast dawn chorus on BBCRadio3! 😬 So it was an American Robin for Thursday 🇺🇸. 6.30-9.30. See you there!
