Anyway, here's me!

I'm from Wales. I studied and still geek International Politics & Military History. In my spare time I'm an Army Reservist, and in my even sparer time I help out with Cadets.

I enjoy RPGs, strategy, and old school shooter games.

Big fan of Star Trek and 40k (lore and hobbying).
I suppose a small silver lining to Musk's misinformation logorrhoea is that it highlighted a good charity to donate to.

We can't let British democracy turn into a plaything for overseas billionaires with short attention spans.

At PMQs, I urged the Prime Minister to work with us to make sure power always sits with the voters, not wealthy foreign oligarchs.

People have had enough of Elon Musk interfering with our country’s democracy when he clearly knows nothing about Britain.

It’s time to summon the US ambassador to ask why an incoming US official is suggesting the UK government should be overthrown.

My Facebook fact check is “if some dummy you knew in high school posted it it’s false.” Works pretty well.

After many delays due to not feeling 100% about my painting skill, I finally got my Gabriel Angelos model painted and had my first game of 10th Edition with it to boot.

Finished a small Desolation Squad (joint-silliest looking SM models with their t-Shirt cannons), and been trying out using texture paints for bases on my other models.

Still need to do their shoulder transfers, but that'll have to wait until this weekend.

Glad to see Richard Tice taking such care over UK fishing. It is just a shame that neither he nor any of his Reform colleagues could be bothered to show up this afternoon to my debate... on UK fishing.

I've been given the heads up thst my ACL reconstruction will be in January, which is very exciting as it means I can start the process of getting my life back on track.

Very much longing to be back in the field again!

Finished off these Heavy Intercessors. Up next, Desolation Squad.

Brits over on the old app (I say Brits, but Ruzzian trolls isn't off the cards) are just straight up pro-Musk/Putin quislings at this point.

This film absolutely doesn't need a live-action remake, but I am thoroughly unprepared to be emotionally bullied by it once again (I can't wait to see it)
First poster for the live-action ‘HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON’ remake.

In theaters on June 13.

1000 days of death and destruction at Putin's hands.
1000 days of Ukraine's brave resistance.

Excuse the window reflections, but God I adore this view (if I go on my tip toes I can also see Fishguard Bay)

Have any of my followers completely turned off the other app yet, or looking to in the near future? If so, what were/are the goalposts for doing so?

I'd quite like to totally withdraw my custom, but there's still too much (content and people) over there that I know I'd miss.

I tried giving Threads another crack a couple weeks ago, but for some reason it just feels like a really awkward app to use.

Anyway, just hoping I can connect with a decent portion of the same people I did on Twitter.

It took me two and a half days to realise my display name was still the default.

Off to a characteristically good start on this app. 😅

I think the biggest sign that the time is right to start moving onto this app was seeing a tweet saying 'AH was bad' and the comments section was full of people calling that an extremist view and going through mental gymnastics to defend the man.

Utterly, utterly vile. That's the legacy of Musk.
