Post a perfect album from the 90's that isn't Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, or Alice In Chains.

We told you he would do this.

We told you he was an antivaxxer fool.

You confirmed him anyway.

This is 100% on you. All the deaths that will occur because of this are your fault, Senator. You had the opportunity and knowledge to prevent it, but for craven political reasons, you refused.

First new climbing shoes in 30 years.

(In 1996 it was cycling or climbing for me, and I chose cycling, but thanks to my amazing son I'm climbing again.)

But my God, Italian shoes are the genuine article. In climbing as in cycling. They are a work of art.

I often hear that California has super high taxes. True if you're rich, but not for most people. Here's total state income tax (using calculators at smartasset.com) for a married couple w/ given household incomes, for CA vs VA and 4 deep red states.

(Yes I know, some states have no income tax.)

Our cat Mimi passed on in June. We just now finally felt OK getting another cat. He is a Maine coon, tentatively named Feather, and is the sweetest.

Here's the distribution of 1,000 estimates, each using 1,000,000 points.

I did something similar in R, for fun. It's surprisingly (to me) jumpy! Here's the % error in the running estimate of pi as you accumulate more and more points, up to a million. Repeated three times.

That's pretty cool.

Actually yes. It's pretty common for VP to remain nearly constant as T changes over a day.

More generally, it's very common for temperature and VPD to vary *somewhat* independently, so that it's essential to distinguish how each, by itself, affects stomata.

What the actual fuck

Glad I noticed this before it killed me.

Word of warning to anyone riding a titanium Ritchey frame. This is (or rather, was) a Ti-Cross Breakaway.

Revised version - this time I cleanly cut off just the threaded head of the falcon tube, pulled out the sensor element from the DHT11, and welded the element + a polyethylene cap to the top of the tube head. Bit of foam so you can push the chamber onto a leaf w/o affecting T. Much faster response.

$21 transient potometer for teaching purposes

$15 Arduino
$4 LCD
$2 RH/T sensor
$0.01 severed falcon tube

(potometer not porometer, because the internal boundary layer is too large to confidently infer stomatal conductance; could restructure to avoid this)
