I feel like people don't talk about this that much, but American television never grew out of the reality tv phase of the 00s. Everything has to have bullshit shoe-horned into it and can't exist on its own and it's just so god damn exhausting.

What perfect album came out the year you turned 16?
I really struggled to find something that landed on this and most of what I did was awful. I also second that this was a bad time for art in general. However, it did give us one of my favorite Bad Religion albums of all time!

The thing is that this mostly became an issue in the US because companies pushing it knew the dangers and didn't care; there was money to be made. All of these companies know what they are doing and don't give a shit because irrevocable impacts on society are just the cost of doing business.

I don't know if it's more of an old fashioned thing instilled into me by my grandparents, but there are few pleasures in life that hit the same quite like just having a really nice cup of coffee and slice of pie.
