Tsukazan-aza, Haebaru Tsunahiki in Okinawa last year. Unfortunately didn't make it to the actual tug of war but experiencing this district's way of celebrating it was fun!

My friend and I were looking for a place to drink tea and landed on the cutest cafe-restaurant! The owner of 茶房 華
was such a kind person and told us that she picked the Mozuku and made the Chinsuko. The meals was affordable and delicious.

Another pair of images my family found were taken in 1981. As a 5th generation (Gosei) Okinawan, I have never known of where my family tomb is or what it looked like. Now I have images of what it looked like before they transferred my great x2 grandpa's remains to Hawaiʻi.
