Two weeks of vampire films, the penultimate selection on this adventure is the Chilean film El Conde. It is something else. Worth it. I think.

My twelfth night of two weeks of vampire films is the South Korean film Thirst. It’s a bit long is my only complaint. I liked it a lot.

On the eleventh night of two weeks of vampire films because of poor planning it’s Last Voyage of the Demeter. Jump scares are so very lazy cinema.

Tenth night of two weeks of vampire films is Humanist Vampire Seeking Consenting Suicidal Person. It starts out good but loses some momentum in the middle. Solid 7/10 I liked it.

Night seven of two weeks of vampire films is Queen of the Damned. I backpacked through Europe in ‘98 and read through The Vampire Chronicles from hostel book swaps. Expected this to be pure cheese so never watched. Who knew I was right all along.

Night six of two weeks is vampire films is The Hunger. This breaks the “that I’ve never seen” rule but I was (pre?)teen and I am sure I didn’t fully appreciate it at the time. But the influence it would have.

On Sunday I ran my tenth marathon at the Chicago Marathon, along with 52,000 others. A million people lined the streets to cheer. It was unreal.
