I was principal piccolo at the time... famously no one notices the intonation of the piccolo. In every wind ensemble rehearsal he would ask for "note checks". "Excuse me professor can I get a note check? I have an A but I think the a tuba just played something different can you clarify?"

The DB that was in the wind ensemble and orchestra. He inserted himself in our friend group and tried to turn us against one of our friends. He once told me "as a bassist I have to worry about intonation- wind players don't have to- no one is going to call you out for intonation issues"

The university I work for has a community music division. Other than lessons they offer group guitar, group piano, group harp, and music theory. A lot of the students are young- elementary to middle school but some teenagers. The group guitar/ukulele classes are great for music educators!
