It’s my ‘one year’ anniversary of becoming British. Go team! 🇬🇧

So a new IKEA just opened up in Brighton. And it seems to be a bit metal…

I should know what these are called, as they are all over Brighton, but my 12 years in the UK hasn’t extended my knowledge of flora, the way it should.

Cheeky pint down t’ pub. Nice view.

Heh... It's a stereotype for a reason, folks. 😂

Ever since I moved to my current neighbourhood, I’ve ‘thought’ this. And finally a tagger has fulfilled the notion for me.

Okay, so is it just me, or... Does this 'silicon jar-topper thinggy' kinda have 'dead insect vibes', when it's inside out and upside down?

Boy, you turn me...

Okay. 27°C is too warm for me. I know it’s SO much worse in other parts of Europe, but.

Glah!

Finished one slide deck. Now, time to start the next one. <sob>

Photo from my now long ago holiday? Sure:

I've been deliberately shooting in Black and White lately. However, this photo just seemed to 'need' the little bit of colour that it had. So, I went with it. John Street, Glasgow (I loved the architecture)

There’s a persistant and LOUD visitor on our neighbourhood pizza truck.

Feel for the staff!

Yesterday, someone on the Glasgow subreddit shared a picture almost EXACTLY like this one (I took a week ago), and most folks on r/glasgow recognised it. Will other's know where this is on a broader communication channel, I wonder? #glasgow

It’s Tuesday. That means that WAY too much of the week is left to occur. Gah.

A close in Edinburgh. I though the blowing-paper was a nice addition to the composition

First day back at work after two weeks of a glorious non-plugged-in holiday ('Vacation' for my Yankee friends).

The email inbox, though? Ugh... <sob>

Anyhoo... New picture from the holiday (that is already slipping from my memory as I wade through emails...)

Happy Friday! Here's hoping for a lovely weekend for everyone. So, photo. Here's a nice shot: Forgotten Shoes. Queen's Park, Glasgow, 2025

I've been away from the 'socials' as I've been on Holiday up to Scotland with my Scottish partner for the past week. It was lovely. I'll be eaking out some photos from the trip over the next weeks. Here's one from Glasgow. Camphill Church steeple.

My partner bought me a lovely apt and appropriate prezzie today.

Gotta love the NHS.

When one thinks of the Thames, this isn’t usually the image one has in one’s mind.
June 7, 2025 at 9:40 AM
I had to get up early, and get into campus early today. So I had a crumpet at 6:30am. It's 10:30am, and I'm STARVING. Gah.

Well, at least the view's lovely up here in the South Downs.

I really enjoy the industrial 'remnants' of times gone past. The architectural footprints of buildings no longer existing are a wonderful memorial. And texture... I LOVE texture...

So, when people are ‘raptured’ why does it always seem to occur around the bins?
April 21, 2025 at 9:38 AM
One thing you'd never see in an egg carton in the States. A feather.

It's so much more 'real' on this side of the pond. And let's not even start on chlorinated chicken, 'kay?
April 17, 2025 at 2:13 PM
Taking a ‘later’ train to work today to avoid ‘peak fares’ and I gotta say, it’s much more chill.
