Uninteresting notes
This is is the face of "I went to GenCon and came back with destroyed vocal cords and bank account." Not sure when I will recover financially, but I am still coughing and surviving on cough drops and tea with honey.

And, of course, the loot! All of the loot! I barely fit everything in my suitcase. It ended up being overweight but the guy at the check-in desk let it pass because he was so impressed. The suitcase did not survive, sadly. And my bank account is making a police report for abuse.

Got to run 6 sessions, 3 games:
3 sessions of Our Brilliant Ruin
2 sessions of Werewolf: the Apocalypse
1 session of Welcome to Night Vale

All games were amazing. It really makes a difference when you run your own material in comparison to someone else's.

Saw Call of Cthulhu live by The Glass Cannon Network. Amazing as always. Got photos with Noura Ibrahim, Kate Stamas and Troy Lavallee (I got a photo with Skid last year)

Also met Andrew Peregrine and told him all about the shenanigans that my players got into while playing Dune. Had a good laugh. And got an autograph from one of the new Kung-Fu Panda RPG (yes, that's a thing, apparently). Sadly, I don't remember his name.

South Park is not fucking around. I'd share screenshots but I don't want to get de***ted 👀

Wanted to spend the long weekend finishing my GenCon scenarios. Ended up sleeping 11-13 hours a day, reading Christopher Ruocchio's The Sun Eater and listening to Kardashev.

So you're saying that I would be able to save money and not be in debt if I stopped buying RPG books and going to GenCon every year? Get out of here with stupid ideas like that.

Almost 16 hours of sleep... Worth it.

Finally, I snatched the Everyday Heroes rulebook for $20 (I don't really need it, but it's $20, come on) and some dark fantasy Borg game that had cool art.
I'm tired as shit but content. Now I gotta rest and start prepping for GenCon in August...

I found the Masks of Nyarlathotep box-set with a 40% discount in the "dinged games" section. It looked perfect to me, not sure why it was there, but I'm not complaining.

really tried to not spend too much money but inevitably failed. Of course, I had to buy the Mothership game. Bought a few modules to it as well. I needed the physical rulebook of Our Brilliant Ruin for August and they had that as well.

As we got out of the western, we ended up in some house with too bright pastel colors and a whimsical soundtrack. Everyone was like OH FUCK NOT WES ANDERSON PLEASE!!! The game culminated in a boss battle where my character shot train rails out of a bazooka screaming RAILGUN MOTHERFUCKER! GET IT??!!

5 hours of seducing mortals, political intrigues and murder investigations that culminated in a Diablerie and a final twist where the bad guy was revealed to be alive and possessing one of the PCs. All as it should be.

We had ridiculous fights with Kirk-style double fisted punches, blatant violations of the Prime Directive and "reverse the polarity of the quantum subspace manifold conduit" technobabble. I love when players are well versed in genre tropes.

Then when we reached the point where they got their powers we played out the encounters. Defeated the Mole Man and Giganto. It was super cheesy and fun. The player who played Reed Richards did a good job acting as a self-absorbed asshole.

I've already played Marvel Multiverse RPG twice but those were very short demo games. We played out the 1961 Fantastic Four #1, the original. I played Johnny Storm 😎. GM displayed panels from the comics on the screen and we read aloud the lines for our characters.
