I also notice from the breakdowns that Mamdani continues to struggle with Black voters. If he (or another likeminded candidate like @aoc.bsky.social) ever seeks the presidency, they are going to need to get those numbers up to hold their own in delegate rich Super T Southern states, not just SC.

@trt.bsky.social, I am a little worried about this persistent education polarization.

I'll add one last one. "and especially Senator Bernie Sanders from Vermont." But I will be interested to see how they do as senior partners this time. Schumer and Jefferies seem to be playing team ball surprisingly. bidenwhitehouse.archives.gov/briefing-roo...

My article on the Quilombos Mass, which served serving as a touchstone for a strategic alliance between Black activists and the liberationist Church won the Best Article Prize for the Brazil Section of the Latin American Studies Association.

35 Democrats joined all Republicans in the House to override a waiver that lets #California set state #emissions standards. To override the waiver, Republicans would have to overrule the #Senate parliamentarian. This would set precedent for ignoring the official in future budget fights.

@chemnick.bsky.social, thanks for your reporting on the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund's latest setback. One big question I have for you. If these organizations are going to go out of business, why is the Court of Appeals, which is not as reactionary as the 5th Circuit, willing to let it happen?

This is great for #business stability. The #EPA claims lawsuit cannot move forward because they already (illegally) terminated the contract. "EPA retains the ability to end its agreements, whether or not doing so complies with a (contested) for-cause termination provision." Cc: @mcuban.bsky.social

All of the people (rightly) praising Sanders now need to remember they were throwing stones at him for doing coalition-building. Here he was last Fall defending a joint legacy on drug prices. That same legacy at risk today. Let’s not act like we didn’t get some major stuff done. Confidence!

I've been seeing this go around. What does it mean?

Political gravity reasserting itself? Usually polls that go down don't go drastically up again.

Biden got a lot wrong (quite a lot right too, but that's another post). But he got this right where Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, and Barack Obama actively chose to get it wrong. For fulfilling a dream I've had since high school, I can give him an unqualified Thank You Joe!

It finally happened in fact as well as law. Thank you Joe Biden!
