Feels a bit like circular reasoning when you’re using the phrase ”tankie.” I mean, there are also completely valid criticisms of Mamdani and his approach to Palestine that have nothing to do with what you’re describing.

Nah, I think they’re just two different guys. Also only the Richard dude is a congressman, Max’s father (Sydney) was some sort of advisor to Bill Clinton during his presidency, so they’re both democrats I guess

I only read your post, so I don’t know much about you, but it seems like you don’t consider the fact that (1) the actions of Arab armies does not justify killing civilians (2) ethnic cleansing started before 1948 (3) ”transfer” has been a goal of Zionist leaders since Herzl. See link.

Maybe you should study the Nakba through perspectives that don’t align with your beliefs? Then you will understand the other side. You can for example check out the NGO Zochrot and their testimonies:

I’m just wondering, how do you regard WINEP? I am usually wary of stuff I read from there due to their connection to Israel (no hate against A. Zelin, he writes good stuff).

Today's European far-right does this deliberately - supporting Israel is part of global right-wing nationalism, which provides cover for antisemitism against Jews at home and revisionism of their own fascist pasts. If you see "pro-Israel" as synonymous with "anti-antisemitism," you won't get it.

Thank you for a good article professor. It is also the first time I see you directly adress anti-Palestinian racism. Please keep on highlighting this, as it is very connected to the issues you have mentioned.
I know you write mostly about Ukraine, but please don’t forget Palestine 🇵🇸 🇺🇦

I get your point about pundits. Though from a EU perspective, I do think the individual sanctions and court cases against regime officials (including in Sweden) show that, institutionally, a lot of attention is given to the regime’s crimes. Hopefully, there will be similar measures against Israelis
