I've done the second option and skipped most mandatory outings (citing the "I don't drink" aka I DGAF excuse) since I graduated college. The only thing that the job market has taught me is how to refine my paycheck collecting skills.

Do they test for PEDs at your competition? If not, then I'll assume a lot of people will juice up to see heavy object number go up.

I think I covered all my points (sorry for needing so many posts), but it all boils down to you and me agreeing that WNBA pay as a % of revenue is insultingly low and the league needs to do better to grow revenue, but until that happens, they're unable to pay the players more even if they wanted to.

I'm 99% sure that WNBA operational costs are higher as a % of revenue than NBA operational costs. You can't pay a WNBA assistant coach 2-6% of like $500k or a WNBA office worker 2-6% of $100k and expect them to take the job.

It's a fair argument that the government should invest in this as a social benefit for expanding opportunities for women (ignoring current admin), but it's hard to argue that the NBA *must* bridge that gap when they're already contributing $ towards the WNBA, and the corporate money isn't there yet.

or projected revenue, because full pay as % of revenue parity with men's leagues (48-50% range) would mean a 5x increase in player pay. 5 * $126k * 12 players * 13 teams would be an additional $78.6m in player comp. You can say the NBA has enough money for that, but *should* they be responsible for

The WNBPA should be bargaining for pay to be a % of league revenue the way all other leagues operate, and their previous representatives dropped the ball on that. The problem is, even though you and I support the higher pay because of %, where would the money come from? It wouldn't be from current
