thinking on this journal entry a lot lately
post from me: “for the longest time, hearing Hozier sing “darling there’s a part of me i’m afraid will always be trapped within an abstract from a moment in my life,” filled me with such a dreadful sadness thinking that maybe i’ll be caught in these haunting lonely moments forever, but lately i’ve been starting to think that it wouldn’t be so bad to be caught within the abstract of some of my more recent happiest times, where i’m somewhere filled with warmth and music and friends. and maybe that’s what he meant by “see how it shines”. maybe i wouldn’t be trapped. and i guess that’s that on how you relate to songs changing as you’re healing. the memory hurts but does me no harm.”
