There's an old proverb that says when you're in a hole, stop digging. I think this applies to Coogan here and I am baffled that the Grauniad published this unrepentant denial of culpability immediately after he settled with the plaintiff. Digging pun, fully intended, for the record.

It's a brilliant event and a brilliant charity. Please consider giving a share on here and a donation. I think the collectors on the day are victims of an increasingly cashless approach to days out and also perhaps an inadequate push for card donations. But if it doesn't raise funds it won't happen.

So, looking at that "top ten", if the wealth of all of them were pooled, taxed at 95% and the remainder redistributed equally amongst them...
They'd all still be billionaires.
How does anyone on Earth not see that as obscene?

Very good footballer and very divisive character. Good attributes in my book! The only way to be loved by everyone is to put popularity over principles. I piss loads of people off. So does she and it seems and we have a similar subset of society in the crosshairs. I'm shit at football, though 😂

On that note, diet is the biggest driver of dentalcaries and so your advice in itself isn't adequate. A balanced diet, principally of whole foods, minimising refined sugar and keeping sugary foods and drinks confined to mealtimes, rather than as snacks between, will keep decay at bay 2/2

Snopes reckon that is an incorrect attribution. The question is are you convinced?

Well avoided for so long. Apart from most of the acts have no connection to Britain, save for seemingly having found a supply of consumers here for this sort of drivel. Perhaps a more fitting name would be "Britain's Got A Platform For The World's Most Dangerously Mentally Deranged"

True. But if their PC is getting on a bit then they, like me, are being bombarded with nag screens telling you to buy a new PC as Windows 10 support is ending. Free might become a factor for more folks then.

Well America brought back Trump as President. Can we see if the same applies?

Eggs are small fry: Netto in Benwell, Newcastle upon Tyne, 1993. The only food store I've ever been in and encountered a steaming dog turd in the middle of an aisle.

...since lockdown as my laptop is up to day-to-day admin tasks. As even that has now popped up to say it won't support Windows 11, although I decided to migrate it to Linux rather than replace it, I could no longer justify keeping the even older lump. So it's so long, Eric. We've had a blast.
