It's been a minute, but I'm up to Sleeping Beauty (1959). I had such distinct memories of watching this in the theater as a kid that I thought it came out in the 90s, but I guess it just got a theatrical rerelease then. I don't think I've seen it since preschool so let's see how it holds up! #disney

Today's #disney movie is #Fantasia (1940). It's come to my attention that a lot of my peers aren't familiar with this one and that's a shame! Please tell me you've watched it!

#Pinocchio (1940) is up today and I remember this one being unhinged and slightly terrifying so should be a good ride. I'm a few minutes in and the woodcarver stuck his finger into the fishtank to pet Cleo. Clearly he never had me as a preschool teacher...

Taking a break from book content as I embark on a random journey of watching all the Disney animated movies in release order. Don't worry - there will be book lists involved in my thoughts.

First up, Snow White (1937)!

Four more books banned at Davis County including Angie Thomas' "The Hate U Give" and Laurie Halse Anderson's Book, "Twisted". Take action now and tell the Governor and state legislators stop the purge of books: letutahread.org/stopbookbans. @angiethomas.bsky.social @halseanderson.bsky.social

Quagmire Tiarello Couldn't Be Better was one of my absolute top reads of 2024 and if you have any middle schoolers in your life, I recommend it both to them and to you.
Novels exploring the tween experience, capturing precious but oft-challenging times riddled with new, big feelings, have gained admirable traction over the past few years. Check out our Top 10 Novels for Tweens now: bit.ly/4hkbnyr

Texas- a copy cat bill has already been filed in the Texas House- HB183.

The TX SBOE would become a reconsideration committee that would make decisions on books for ALL Texas public schools. Local control be damned.

If you found yourself possessed by a ghost but they were working to make you a better person, would you let them stay? Would you, perhaps, even fall in love? K. Ancrum explores these questions and more in The Corruption of Hollis Brown With - possibly my wildest read of 2025 and the year just began!

Anybody else love to play Book Bingo? This is what I lined up for this year's game. I think finding a book that makes me laugh is going to be the biggest challenge...
