Ok, let's just talk tactical driving for a sec.
NEVER pull to a stop behind a vehicle closer than you can see the bottom of their rear tires. Your turn radius will get you out. Drive into oncoming traffic if you must. Don't get locked in. Go to your closest fire station and scream. They'll help.

I've seen many videos today about militarized police and they're tactics...
Re: militarization.
The camouflage or black is a statement. Khaki is much better in an urban environment, especially at night.
The gear and guns are a pipe dream. Makes em feel "elite".
Now, to the tactics...

You'd notice in the videos that they separate the subject from the driver's side of the vehicle. They then keep the subject with their back to the vehicle. Textbook triangulation. No way out.

So always keep your head on a swivel. Be situationally aware at all times. Never have your back to a barrier unless you're prepared and willing to fight your way out.
Stay safe out there.

I would find it difficult to be a vegetarian, given my hunger that we eat the rich.
During the height of the pandemic, Tyson used Palantir to predict Covid-19 infections among meatpacking workers down to a nearly exactly figure. But rather than using this data to increase worker protections, Tyson used it plan for labor shortages + plant closures

We don't dissociate because we "can't handle" what's happening. We dissociate because our sympathetic nervous system is trying to conserve & prioritize resources, & protect vulnerable "parts" of us.

Dissociation is not a "choice"-- but there is logic & meaning to it.

Be aware and care for yourself
The "freeze" trauma response is a nervous system-deep manifestation of what psychologists call "learned helplessness"-- the reflexive paralysis we experience when we perceive every option available to be associated w/ pain or unacceptable risk.

Trauma responses aren't "choices."

In his futile attempt to justify Musk's $1 trillion pay package, this Musk fluffer overlooks:

-Musk's tax rate on his $450BN is only 2.5% so far.
-Tesla & SpaceX received $3.7BN of US subsidies & loans.
-SpaceX has $22BN in US govt contracts.
-Tesla has received $22BN in US ZEV/GHG/IRA credits.

I went to my first ICE watch yesterday and was surprised by how kind and community-centered it felt.

PIRC (@pirc_oregon) runs free ICE watch training in Portland. Once trained, you’ll get text alerts so you can show up when ICE is sighted.

Sometimes just showing up is enough.
