In 2006, a friend didn’t want to vote for York Centre MP (and retired NHL goalie) Ken Dryden, so he put my name instead. Technically, his ballot was invalid but I’ve still told many people that Dryden kicked my ass in the election. RIP to a legend and author of The Game, a must read for hockey fans.

It’s Spirit Week here at work and each grade has a color associated with it. I wore red today to support my Grade 10 advisees, so my Grade 9s (yellow) and Grade 12s (purple) decided that I needed to accessorize.

I gave my students a mini-zine with the instructions for a project to make their own mini-zine out of a single sheet of paper. When I said this assessment was going to be creative, some of the students tensed up, but I think it went down well. Can’t wait to see what my students make!
