Sources tell me Platner might have a history of domestic violence but the women did not want to press charges. I wonder if any of that has surfaced yet. Surely the journalists in Maine have combed through all this?

Happy for the Blue Jays tonight, but especially happy for Don Mattingly. Donnie Baseball was my favorite player as a kid and this is somehow his first trip to the World Series.

Went to Scotiabank Arena to watch my beloved Rangers lose to the Maple Leafs. The whole game was such a sluggish, torpid affair that the biggest cheer of the night went to the Blue Jays when they took the lead in Seattle.

Tough sports night for Philly. I wouldn't normally feel bad for the defending Super Bowl Champs, but as a lifelong fan of the Giants, I would be embarrassed about losing big to the Giants right now. Thanks for the win, anyway.

As a lukewarm fan of the Yankees who lives in Toronto, I think the ideal scenario for the next couple of days would be for the Blue Jays to finish the sweep and the Yankees to fire Aaron Boone. Then Don Mattingly wins a ring as Jays bench coach and takes over as Yankee manager next year.

Anyone with half a brain knew this as soon as it was reported. Trans people are far more likely to be the victims of violence and there is no such thing as trans ideology. The closest thing I’ve seen to one is this: let trans people live in peace. Anyone scared by that is an empty, soulless husk.
