Getting an inside view of some of this made me much less disappointed when I didn’t land the job I was interviewing for, and was part of driving me away from applying for any jobs in the healthcare industry.

I was invited to a call today, by a senior person in a group I don’t currently support but have before. Had to basically interrupt and talk over my boss before he remembered that I knew both the business and the relevant contracts better than he did and maybe let the woman lawyer talk?

I switched to direct primary care. For a reasonable monthly fee, i have unlimited access to my doctor - text anytime if i can wait on an answer, call during or after hours, video or in-person appointments that last as long as needed. It’s cheaper than my ins. copay for primary care + urgent care.
