Beltrami County in MN is trying to gut our already severely underfunded #library by 40%!!!! Not to mention the #history center which gets so little money that it’s largely volunteer-run besides the director.

2/2 …in the yard, countless more in our woods. Buildings are so far okay but there are multiple widow-maker trees just hanging too far up and I don’t know what to do. Making the kid wear a helmet every time he goes outside til we can make it safer. Another possible storm tomorrow. Fuck.

All people and pets are fine here. The neighbour helped to chainsaw the trees blocking our driveway at multiple points. The horse was picked up by a family friend while we do repairs— but not before stomping on my foot and breaking at least my pinkie toe. At least 15 trees torn up

Life has been (unintelligible screaming) for a while, but I haven’t had to wear snow boots this week and the floofy clouds and sunshine have been definite pluses.
I still need to fix my entire damn life and have zero idea how, but look at the pretty sky floof. Every bit of loveliness helps :)

A reminder that if the government can send migrants to a prison camp without any due process, it can send U.S. citizens there, too. I know because this happened to me and my family in 1942.

Oh my God. The email contains an implied threat that any student who doesn’t immediately leave might be sent to El Salvador.
/technically it says “countries other than their countries of origin,” but the context right now, given everything going on, makes the threat clear.
