As the furor over the shutdown slows down, I'd like to point out that the "Democratic Base" aren't the most upset by this.
The biggest complainers are pundits who only post opinion pieces about what's wrong with the Democratic party and the terminally online who complained about Genocide Joe.

It's crazy how people telling Democrats how to run their party are quick to tell everyone how long they refused to join the party.
Maybe Democrats would be different if we'd all been helping them win elections for 40+ years.

I never registered for a political party for the first 40+ years of my life — including when I was serving as an advisor in the Obama administration — because I disagreed with policies in the Democratic Party's platform, and how the party was run. I finally joined because NY has closed primaries...
