If AOC or someone like her started a progressive party that ran on things like universal healthcare, UBI, protections for immigrants and LGBTQIA people, antiracism, etc., I (and I imagine many others) would gleefully organize and vote for that party, like I think it might actually work

I know we are all disappointed and every single day Dump and his team are pushing us with ridiculous appointments. This is part of their strategy so that we lose hope and we give up and obey.

Gonna be a lot of bad actors in this new administration, but the one I think I'm most worried about is Russell Vought. He was the architect of Project 2025 and a complete idealogue. His plans include using the military on protesters, defunding the EPA, and villainizing civil servants.

I keep reading that this is a place for kinder people, but gentle souls have always been among us. We just couldn’t hear them anymore. Perhaps our gathering here is proof that we missed those voices. What a wonderful thing to believe about ourselves. It can be a bold move to choose kindness.
