Trump’s second administration is like a rewrite of All in the Family in which a reactionary bigot from queens who basically wants to be liked by the people he meets is instead influenced by his wife Ann Coulter (not the lovely Edith) and his child Nick Fuentes & his live in “friend” Stephen Miller.

I’ve never read someone state this so eloquently.

They only should’ve suspended her in Reno.

Tbh, there are at least 3 other guys. But I’m hoping Tucker can break through the noise and become “generic Dem.”

I know all that. My understanding is that Short is saying he should fire the ones causing all this economic mayhem, and my point is he won’t fire them as long as they continue to cause economic mayhem because that is exactly what he wants. He has already purged anyone who won’t follow orders.

But they aren’t. Marc Short doesn’t work for Trump. He’s just reporting on rumors he’s supposedly heard from people on the current Trump team. I don’t think anyone on the Trump team has gone public saying that they disagree with his tactics.

Why would he replace them? This is all part of the plan they told us they would execute.

Follow-up… Why does this election feel so different from last year’s? Part of it is people turning on Trump and/or waking up from apathy. But part of it is also that the base of voters who showed up this year likely understand the stakes better than last year’s electorate writ large.

True, but we can’t ignore the fact that millions of Americans (who are the least engaged in politics, are most susceptible to disinfo & flat-out don’t understand how our government operates) turn out every four years to support the destruction of our democracy. We still have a lot of work to do!

As others have pointed out (rather cordially, fwiw, which is what I like about this platform), Wood has his own issues that need to be addressed. So here is another candidate apparently free of Nazi tattoos: bsky.app/profile/auro...
