Darren Dufus, sorry, Morgan Mogus, regrets voting for Donald Trumpt. KNOW WHO THE EFF YOU'RE VOTING FOR. It's never enough to go by things they say that you agree with. They say WHAT THEY THINK WILL CONVINCE YOU TO VOTE FOR THEM. Instead, look at what THEY'VE ALREADY DONE

Last pic I'll post but I just think it's brilliant. With one story you've earned the status of a definitive Conan artist. It made sense when you announced it months ago. But now it seems obvious. I mean, that's friggin Conan. Meticulously and enthusiastically rendered.

Vote! I'll be working the same election place today since 2022. Stop by, say hi, & cast your ballot! Protest marches might make Politicians nervous, but if they keep winning elections, they ignore us. Protests are an important bark, but elections can bite.

Cruelty, callousness, & corruption run deep, infecting our government. America Worst. Trumpturds, psycho-phants, USA-holes, & MAGAmaniacs fooling Duhmericans, serving a pricktator, Thief Executive, PoSotUS. D.Plorables Unum.

DD 296's end. Then #304. Ron draws the cover, this time. Book was between artists. Weeks had left after #300 & a stellar noir run w/ Al Williamson. McDaniel (rough start) was on deck. Keiron Dywer did a few really good DD's, too (#289-290). I liked Ron's Moon Knight, but hated the all white suit.

DD #296, 1991. I see some old scholl Sal Buscema in here, too. You can tell Ron loves alot of great stuff, and he wants to get it right. He entered the big leagues with Al Williamson on inks, Christie "Max" Scheele on colors, and Jack Morelli on letters.

Mark Waid📝. Ron Garney✍️. Bob Wiacek🖌️. Joe Rosas🎨. John Costanza🔤. That cover remeinded me of some of JR.Jr's stuff. Not so much the interiors. Ron has his own style, but my mind references Zeck, JRJr, and even Weks sometimes when I see it.

"The Trump administration must continue financing millions of dollars in grants for school mental health services, a federal judge ruled. The grants were first issued during President Donald Trump's 1st term. The increase in funding in 2022 was sponsored by Marco Rubio."

SS from 1997. The only Marvel I was buying that year. I saw JRJr's influence on Ron Garney. And on Ron's "Heroes Return" Cap. Then 10 years later Ron rocked🕷️🚹. Pic #4, DD by Lee Weeks. I think influenced by the '87 JRJr run. Lee's a definitive DD artist for me. Garney's DD over the decades, too.

DD #282, JR,Jr's last of that run. SS on that great cover, but only appears in 2 interior panels. 😞 Pic 4 is from SS v3 #128 Ron Garney's DD & SS & SM by Garney & Wiacek.

JRJr clashed w/ Layton over 10 yrs before these about hinges & joints to bend elbows & knees. Layton ssaid "micro motors" & "just go with it". I think joints would've fit here. I like his Super- I mean Wonder-Man, too. I Googled this Surfer, w/ inx by JRJr's DD inker, Al Williamson. Great colors.
October 28, 2025 at 8:59 PM
I noticed the streaks or slivers of white to show bright light. Sometimes most of a panel, like that "burst" pic. I had all of these in 1990. I didn't care for Byrne's stories. But the JRJr/Wiacek/Becton visuals were really good. The colors define Tony's face below, light up the creep w/ the cig.

Congress, the states, and the courts all have to start telling this pricktator. PoSotUS, thief executive "no" on yet another power grab. The US Constitution lays out presidential powers and their limits, leaves running elections up to the states. www.msn.com/en-us/news/p...

4 more. After a grueling ordeal for DD over the previous several issues, Seeing Spidey🕷️🚹 was a welcome relief for both DD and the readers. I wonder if Al Williamson (the artist inking these) ever inked any of the many, many Spidey solo series issues JRJr drew?

More from DD v1 # 270. Ann Nocenti📝, Romita, Jr.✍️ Al Williamson✒️. Christie "Max" Scheele🎨. Jose Rosen🌹🔤.

DD & Karen in a happier moment during the long arc, before things took a nose dice into emotional & physical pain. JRJr distilled his style to essentials. There is no wasteful over rendering. And Al Williamson's perfect lighting, and strategic ink placement.
October 26, 2025 at 2:59 AM
Great acrobatic, athletic poses & figures. JRJr was using a dramatic, dynamic, naturalistic, reduced to essentials style, with balanced figures.
October 26, 2025 at 2:49 AM
So many great images throughout this legnthy run. They found a groove. Al just knew how to best ink JRJr's drawings. And JRJr's minimalist essentialism worked perfectly. Perfect DD figures.

I didn't have reliable access to comics back in the 1970's. I had a Tuska IM issue. Not another until O'Neil & McDonnell's run. I have a few of those. Harras & McDonell's IM Annual #7. But Loved JRJr & Wiacek's 5 or 6 issues in 1990. JRJr enlarged the boots (for the jets). Sleek, slick, & sturdy.
