1/UPDATE- The Des Moines City Council has a special session on October 8th at 4:30 pm where they will be holding a 2nd reading/vote on the proposed amendment to the camping ordinance.

1/UPDATE- The Des Moines City Council has a special session on October 8th at 4:30 pm where they will be holding a 2nd reading/vote on the proposed amendment to the camping ordinance.
Councilman Coleman last year claimed the ordinance wasn't about criminalizing homelessness.
Now he is claiming that law enforcement is facing potential legal liabilities.
This whole process has been deceptive and very little of it has been thought out.
