All I’m saying is that I never saw David Rivers and Nipsy Russell in the same room.

I hope someone draws this wonderful story about Tom Stoppard's Arcadia and the power of the arts to help us see things differently, to the attention of our Education Secretary. Do read it, it will lift your spirits.

#Booktok but it’s just visits to dusty, disorganized, vaguely communist, used bookstores with leaky roofs, in a bad part of town, shelves collapsing on one another, run by a crabby former hippy eating soup at the cash register.

The Max Brosmer go backwards 15 yards, blindly throw underhanded, interception, 80 yard return for a touchdown is among the single worst plays in Vikings franchise history, and the team once had a guy run the wrong way for a touchdown

I found this terribly sad. A young woman with her life ahead of her, and she becomes one of the last American victims of the Long War.

"The Trip" series (Coogan, Brydon)
What a movie you recommend to people with enthusiasm but find that few people you recommend it to like it as much as you do?

Me: Probably Prometheus, which has its fans but is objectively, fundamentally flawed. Also Pandorum.

(My non-genre tastes are very conventional.)

If I ever knew, I had forgotten what Mark Sanford looked like, so I went and read his Wikipedia. And I will say this, Olivia Nuzzi sure does have a type.

By my count, my local AMC theater (16 screens) has 26 showings of Wicked 2 on Saturday. 26. Then they have the temerity to complain that nobody goes to the movies anymore and as they refuse to give anything but the most popular crap any oxygen whatsoever. It's absolutely maddening.

I think Alex Rodriguez is one of the 10 best players in history. I’m largely indifferent to most everything about him, but the HBO documentary is terrible and an embarrassment for all involved. It’s impossible to give depth to someone who has very little to begin with. #AlexvsArod

I am not anti-gambling. I play blackjack and poker, and place (low stakes) sports wagers all the time. But, if you ever want to know the truth about gambling in society, just walk through a casino. Notice how many people are there alone. Ask yourself "do these people seem to have life figured out?"

Legitimately tearing up as Maron does his penultimate show solo in the garage. He is so full of gratitude, as are we. This was a wonderful ride.

Q: Do you agree that the mayor of Chicago and governor of Illinois should be in prison?

MIKE JOHNSON: Should they be in prison? I'm not the attorney general. I'm not following the day to day on that
