In The Labyrinth of Time, entering the Ziggurat without a lantern is supposed to show a black screen. However, the developers put in the wrong filename for the black screen, so it fails to render, showing a black screen instead

Once again I beg the critical internet infrastructure companies to learn about FMEA (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Failure...) and apply it in their systems engineering process like any other industry deemed saftey critical.

Imagine a plane loose all its function because some storage filled up...

Having a functional UI also does a lot of heavy lifting. Complex stuff like this massively sucks with a CLI tool. CLI means I need to memorize function, natural discovery is awful in a CLI context. With the UI its pretty trivial to learn as you go and there is much less context to hold in your head.

idk if tools got better or if I just know more but self hosting feels infinitely easier than it was ~10 years ago.

Proxmox is really nice and makes management of containers and VMs so easy?!
Also big fan of bare LXC containers instead of the added complexity of Docker, esp. for just a NAS at home.
