Pretty bad when it makes even a 9-year-old recognize a problem.

I was 11. I was just so mad about it. He is/was my favorite. Then as details come out, like:

Offering him LESS money than the year before as an All-Star, top 10 MVP vote getter, lead team in many categories.

Just awful.

No, not at all. But I think a pitcher can be great for some parts & very average or "hittable" ...and the batters fail of their own accord.

So you are saying any failure by a hitter is only because of the pitcher?

I appreciate that. I didn't think you were disrespectful. I was really curious because some people don't read the details of the article before responding.

I think that is a good point & likely played a role for some guys...the idea of working counts.

Again. I don't "blame the offense." Why can't both exist?

This extreme one way or another is exhausting. And maybe I am wrong. I like to try to understand the full picture if possible.

Tell me as a hitter I get 70% middle/away & 75+% change/curve? You know what you SHOULD do.

They were never on him. Especially Chourio & Contreras.

We disagree. That is fine. I don't get how they were never on or late on offspeed. Watch their swings...over & over. He pitched very well. They hit very poorly.

I did give him credit. Said he pitched very well. I think in the piece I gave him kudos to hust keep doing the same thing sin e they didn't adjust.

I don't get why it has to get to hyperbole. Mahbe coaches did say stuff? Maybe they didn't believe in the change in strategy. Who knows?

I never said I give him no credit. In fact I say he pitched very well. In the end, the players need to be willing to adjust.

Watch their swings &

No, I completely disagree. There are plenty of times pitchers overmatch the hitters with their stuff or adjust their own trends when needed.

Last night was way over the top in terms of refusal to make changes at the plate, especially with Chourio & Contreras.
