Illumination at Morton Arboretum never disappoints, but this year’s sculptures really elevate the experience. Get out and see for yourselves!

it is sad that people move on so fast from halloween, you could look out your window today and see someone being bitten by frankenstein or someone being flung to pieces by a strong muscle witch or some other beautiful halloween moment and no one would even care to listen to you about what you saw.

Reading Moby Dick for the first time in skeet form probably is not how Melville would have hoped, but it’s proving very rewarding. After long descriptive passages and perceptive musings on internal emotions and reasonings, all fascinating, we get action that is downright cinematic. What a book!
Today's #MobyDick quote 🧵:
But Queequeg vowed a vow. Alone in his canoe, he paddled off to a distant strait, which he knew the ship must pass through when she quitted the island. On one side was a coral reef; on the other a low tongue of land, covered with...

Never has there been a case of more "good fucking riddance," but it's not unamusing that they're hightailing it right after the first snow storm hit. Chicago has a built-in defense against unserious jagoffs and it's called winter.

Always good Sunday morning vibes at Afro Joe’s in the beautiful city of Chicago. Recently voted top ten coffee shops IN THE USA on Yelp. If you live in the area and have never been here, what are you even doing with your life? #boycottstarbucks

Here's sandhill crane dancing at sunset. Quick cell phone edit, so they'll be a better version someday.

Great way to clear my head after an unfathomably stressful week.

Seeing this out of context of the whole show is really striking. What a beautiful piece of work. These days one sees so many fantastic costume designs for comic book characters, but has it ever been done better than this? Incredible. Hats off.

Cesar Romero’s Joker costume from 1966’s Batman TV show recently went for £212 000 at HA. Which is just a smidgen too high a sum for me. But isn’t it a brilliant costume? So beautifully designed & made. I wish I had the money & courage to dress like this.
