I am about to embark on a month and a half of intense shameless self-promotion — like way more than I am built for — and my teeth are itching already. Why did I, an extreme introvert with social anxiety, go into showbiz? Is sending rats under the table at Sardi’s to do it for me actually an option?

The arrival of theater-of-my-dreams @vidiots.bsky.social to my neighborhood has meant that I’ve gotten to go see a bunch of movies I should’ve seen years ago and now get to be delighted by as if they’re new. My favorite so far? CARRIE (1976). I can’t stop thinking about what a good movie it is.
