They want to fall to the ground so bad

Also, I saw somebody say “this just underscores the pointlessness of trying to build coalitions” and I just want to say that while I support BDS wholeheartedly, it’s not “coalition politics”, it is exclusion politics. If we want a coalition to engage in BDS, it must be built, thru coalitioning.

I mean, I don’t know — like I said, not a ton of uptake yet — but I thought “AI Bank” would be legible and dual-power friendly

Love this, been saying similar things — mostly to silence, I think because there is no supporting narrative about it out there yet. I’ve been thinking it could start with an AI Bank that is funded with taxes on AI, and then that could be used to redistribute profits, + invest in nationalization

if your conception of discipline is top-down, then definitely. but the left on the whole can be disciplined, and that's exactly what we should be aiming for. it comes not from above but from within, as a culture of being accountable to each other and the urgent matters at hand. we used to ~have ~it!

Yep. May it but wet their whistle

This is part of how you know it’s fascism: they have to keep expanding the circle of hatred and blame and exclusion — and shrinking the circle of humanity. That’s what keeps the balloon in the air. They said it was a small subgroup, now it’s quickly expanded to much bigger categories, and so on.

And yeah — it makes extremely clear that these fuckers want to lose.

No other way to measure it. You get a stunningly positive response to showing spine — and your next move is to remove it and put it back in its case. Obviously, you liked being spineless and hated and ineffectual for your voters.

My point isn’t that politicians are on the level, just that there’s a reason it’s hard to cull corruption, because even tho politicians are not getting directly paid, they may very well still be selling us out for the money they need to keep their jobs. Points to need for bigger fixes to media costs

I hate to seem disagreeable but that is also not true. One of the few ways politicians experience enforcement is misappropriation of campaign funds. It happens regularly, both administratively to catch possible mistakes and criminally to catch possible wrongdoing.
November 9, 2025 at 11:18 PM
Nope. Politicians are “bought” via campaign contributions, not direct payments

She has always been awful, we’ve just always let her get away with it

The last thing somebody like this wants is for the movement to succeed. Because then nobody will print their vile, inflammatory remarks, nobody will be guilted into giving money, time, and credibility. Task #1 for a person like this is to blow up any forward movement. Hence the above.

Just reads as a very blatant example of liberals saying: this doesn't fit my priors? Oh, must be something weird going on. Instead of questioning their assumptions. Maybe NYC isn't fundamentally different from anywhere else with workers, renters, landlords, and bosses. Who can say??
November 7, 2025 at 2:51 PM
Yep, a President was a bad idea. They were like, what if King, but less kingly

There is nothing extreme about taxing the wealthy businesses and individuals who enjoy being based in NYC. At all. In fact, it's simple common sense.
