🚨HAPPENING NOW: Hundreds arrested in Parliament Square in protest organised by Defend Our Juries

The arrest of otherwise peaceful protesters is a violation of the UK’s international obligations to protect the rights of freedom of expression and assembly.

Heroes. Every single one of them.

Keir Starmer, Yvette Cooper, David Lammy — and the rest of this Labour government enabling genocide — aren’t fit to lace their boots.

As peaceful protestors are arrested for holding placards, starving Palestinians are being shot in the street.

This will go down as one of the most shameful moments in British legal history.

No amount of suppression can hide the truth: our government is complicit in genocide.

The UK is in the grip of an ongoing right-wing coup.

It is the main cause of economic decline and social tensions.

Successive govts have been enrolled to make us subservient to corporations and the rich.

Corporate power must be curbed/reversed for a better future.

Lousy social care
Crumbling schools
Poor housing
Corporate profiteering/abuses
Tax abuses by corporations/rich
Sewage in rivers

It happens because Govts indulge corporations and the rich.

Behind every draconian decision, there's secret evidence ("detailed security assessments") we're not allowed to see. We should just suck it up and believe them.
Sorry, Yvette Cooper, that's not how democracy should work. When you make a decision of such consequence, we need to see the basis for it.
Yvette Cooper is asked about her decision to ban Palestine Action as a terrorist organisation and she claims she received detailed security assessments & advice & is in receipt of disturbing information that the rest of us don't know about

The Israeli Centre for Human Rights in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, B'TSELEM, agonised long (too long in my view) and hard before coming up with this report and its crystal clear verdict: Israel is committing genocide. Nothing more needs to be said www.btselem.org/publications...

85 children starved to death in Gaza on the day that the man who legitimizes this abomination was playing golf in Scotland. Does the world's media not have a problem with this?

Water privatisation has been a complete & utter failure.

It is absurd that the government's report into the water industry didn't even consider public ownership.

That's not a report. That's a political broadcast for the private sector.

Put water back into public hands, now.

Starmer and UK government: do what you are required to do by international law - end your support of the Israeli genocide of Palestinians. Stop providing weapons and assistance. Stop delegitimising dissent. NOW.

Martin Forde concluded Labour operates a hierarchy of racism, where anti-Black racism & Islamophobia are brushed aside.

Now we have a Prime Minister who mimicked Enoch Powell with “island of strangers” & suspended the UK’s first Black woman MP twice.

It’s institutional racism.

Under Gandhi’s statue. For holding placards.

A priest, a professor, medics - arrested for peaceful protest.

This is not about terrorism. It’s about silencing dissent - and it’s leading us down an ever darkening path.
