Crotch! 😆 That's an apt description. I notice that it only really goes that crotch/farm direction in the mid dry down onward - perhaps I need to add something that lasts into that zone, to cover up the funk a bit more? I shall experiment with the basic amber trio + extra base notes.

I concur. I’ve been working with a 10% but may need to go to 1%. But honestly, it’s got to a point where everything is “trace” levels. I may as well wave a rock-rose over a bottle of vodka at this rate.

It’s wild. Vanillin does the same thing. But they smell great on my friend! It’s mostly my own compositions, but I’m fairly sure if I used a labdanum heavy scent it’d be a bit weird on me.

Love the smell of the raw ingredient in the bottle. On me, not so much. It’s really throwing my compositions off - perhaps it’s the way I’m using it?
