Well, the clouds parted as I left the pub. My eyes couldn’t pick out the colours at all though; they looked like pale, shimmering fingers of cloud.

2pm Harstad Norway. It’d been dusk for about an hour by this point. The sun doesn’t rise here at all at the moment. There’s a period of weak “light” around 11am, but it’s seeping away again by noon.

Imagine making an album this perfect… Sublime.

Nice surprise yesterday. Another video from that @thecrookedhours.bandcamp.com album I recently worked on. Simple concept but a great performance. Such a diverse record! Some of the instrumentals are poles apart from this.

Researching a trip to Northern Norway in December and chanced across the word “Mørketid”. “Dark time” or polar night. Something about being from the Midlands seems to have given me a need to seek out extremities of place.

I thought Hellraiser in space was going to be awful but it was quite fun really. Doug Bradley clearly having a grand old time.
