#Tigray, the heartland of the Aksumite Kingdom in the Horn of Africa, has long stood as a beacon of African freedom and sovereignty. Never compromising on liberty: from Gundet (1875), Gura (1876), Kufit (1885), Dogali (1887), and Adwa (1896) to TDF (2020).

10/ The Road Ahead:

Tigray’s darkest days showed us what unity can achieve. Now, #Tigrayan unity must take a different form—one that respects diverse voices, promotes accountability, and builds democratic resilience. End the dominance of a single party or faction. Our people deserve no less.

I ran an experiment, simultaneously posting articles on Bluesky and X, and then testing to see how many people actually clicked and read them. The numbers on Bluesky are higher, both because the X algorithm downranks journalism, and because Bluesky attracts readers, not just shitposters.

Meta is being sued for promoting hateful content in Ethiopia’s Tigray war—posts that led to real-world violence and death. 🚨⚖️

The platform’s algorithm amplified hate for likes and profit. This is more than failure. It’s complicity. 💔

The #Palestinians are there to embarrass the world. They are the moral mirror.
It would still be a lie, but the world could at least say it didn’t know what was happening in #Tigray, for it was deliberately made invisible. But Palestine is something else. Visibility means nothing

The city of Tulsa, home to one of the most horrifying racial-terror massacres in U.S. history and the people who tried to cover it up, has announced a $105 million reparations package.

It took decades of research by historians and journalists — and reports by state and federal commissions — to uncover the violence that claimed more than 300 Black lives.

Tonight an unbelievable **34,000 people** gathered for our Denver rally to take on billionaires and win our country back.

This was the largest political gathering in Denver since Obama in 2008.

Also bigger than the 2024 DNC.

And the largest ever rally in Bernie’s career (and obviously, mine too).

It always boggles my mind that I, a journalist, am expressly forbidden from trading stocks, but members of Congress, with vastly greater knowledge of market-moving news, are allowed to profit by front-running markets, and so may profit by in essence stealing from the public they represent.

1) Fox News is for real not showing stock-market ticker during this week's collapse.

2) Its economic news is "strong jobs report."

3) Every time I've checked in today, the coverage has been "illegal immigrants committing new crimes."

This is state propaganda, on a par with North Korea or PRC.
