No one is more shocked than me that I liked this book. I avoided it like the plague since release but finally caved. Surprisingly heartfelt and real. I related to the characters so much.

A very interesting story. There were some parts that could be trimmed and the middle was a bit slow. But for a debut it was very strong. It was nice hearing of the island I came from so that may have upped my score a bit.

Woo baby. This books drained me. Emotionally, I'm spent.
First off, I've never read Manacled but I knew loosely what it was about and what to expect in terms of triggers and dark content. I'm glad I didn't read Manacled so I could go in unbiased.
