The willingness of Aust media & politicians to use unfiltered & prejudicial comments by a corrupt Israeli PM to attack Australia's PM is truly disgusting. It's one thing having a political disagreement: quite another to undermine national sovereignty.
What happened to "we decide" Australian policy?

Labor’s Social Media Ban for kids bill is a masterclass in incompetence.

The bill tells social media companies to take ‘reasonable steps’ to determine age without ever defining what that means.

That’s not governance, that’s a dereliction of duty.

Look at some of this mess.👇

Great work by @TheRealPBarry on #MediaWatch to show the fake news put out by mainstream media including @ABCnews.

@ABCnews should now apologise — and investigate how this fake story came together and who drove it externally and inside the ABC.

Babet & Thorpe were both censured by the Senate today.

Thorpe called out genuine grievances - genocide, persecution and the theft of her peoples' lands by the Crown. The time and place she did it were simply inappropriate.

Babet however is just a dumb racist thug.

Do not conflate the two

Fun fact: If someone quotes a post of yours in a way that is unwelcome (as is commonplace on Twitter/X) there is a tool to combat the unwanted attention. Simply click the three dot menu on the quote post & click "Detach quote". This removes your post from their quote post. Useful to know, do share!

Australia's political class has hated social media from the beginning. Our major parties are completely in the pocket of mainstream media and have willingly slurped the News Corp Kool-Aid that says social is inherently bad, something to be controlled, milked, or even banned.

The wide ranging social media inquiry is due to report today and I wouldn't be surprised if the government just said that was basically all the consultation needed (despite us still not having specifics of the actual legislation or the technology for age assurance)
Senators from the left and right have demanded a Senate inquiry into the proposed social media ban for children under 16, voicing alarm over the potential for the bill to be rammed through the parliament with little scrutiny just days after it is introduced.
