Even the geraniums are still pushing out blooms this week, crazy! For the record the hydrangeas start turning brown in August from the heat but they still push out blooms, even this late in the year. Cutting all the deadheads off now, will prune them for height early March.

This one is in the neighbor’s yard so I can’t invite him in for tea, maybe next time. He was about 10’ from sidewalk and unbothered by me or the traffic.

Finally got Ronin’s Halloween decoration / costume. He’s wearing a cat ear and cat face inflatable jack o lantern with two smaller cat face pumpkins growing out of his face. Got him a Cerberus to keep him company. Shocked that the pumpkin arch can stay inflated with just one fan.

Difference between year old 4” filter and new one: 0.02” wc
I think I’ll keep running the old one for a while.
1” filter for comparison. 1” clog faster cuz less filter area, more static pressure

Friday had sore throat and started to feel bad. Saturday my sinuses got more inflamed than a Centralia coal seam fire.
Saturday night trying to do enough math to determine if I have taken liver failure levels of cold meds yet.
Sunday I'm hopped up on meds and have 2500 words to write by midnight.

If we get enough sun we can coast for a while. Last year heat went on Dec 1 because contractors deactivated the furnace for the porch rebuild. That was kinda tough, 52 in the house was too chilly. I was heating the kitchen every morning by boiling pots of water on the stove like a hairy tradwife.
