I'm of the opinion that "upgrade systems" that only increase damage but on the flip side enemies get bulkier is disrespectful towards the player.
Like "here you go lil buddy, you like big numbers don't you?" 👶🏻

Pet peeve in video game upgrade systems is when subsequent upgrades are described with escalating language.
Upgrade 1: "a minor increase in damage"
Upgrade 2: "a moderate increase"
Upgrade 3: "a major increase"
Is upgrade 3 adding MORE damage than 1? Or are these just relative to the base rate?

If anyone has been intrigued by Tower of God's anime, I highly recommend following the webtoon.
It gets so much more wild in terms of fights and interesting characters.
