Finally beat @aggrocrabgames.bsky.social's Peak solo for the first time last night - only ever intended to play it coop but the single player is actually a lot of fun! (Don't have to share my food with anyone) 👑

One of the very first public videos I did in my current job was for one of the biggest streamers out there - I put so much effort into making sure it was good, I was so proud of the video when it went live. It didn't take someone very long to comment this though: 😂

I've edited hundreds of videos that have racked up thousands (sometimes millions) of views over the last five years but none of them make me as proud as seeing these sort of stats on my own YouTube/TikTok channels:

I've always thought I was a bit rubbish at Trackmania, but the current Weekly Shorts have shown me I just needed to find my map type. And that map type is pinball.

There’s something special about Glastonbury festival, even if it is the most tiring five days of the year 🤣

The more I play Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 the more I’m enjoying it. It feels like one of the most refreshingly unique games I’ve played in a long time. Definitely worth checking out.

Blue Prince is a really unique game, really enjoyed the first twenty or so hours I played and have a lot more questions and mysteries left to solve. Unfortunately I find the RNG too unforgiving and exploration too slow I think I’m done with it for now.

PlayStation The Concert was genuinely great, very impressive both musically and visually though it has made me realise I really should play both the Horizon games and Ghost of Tsushima

Went back to Godzilla Voxel Wars to get all the achievements! It's such a good game, think Into the Breach but a little more puzzle-forward. The extensive build your own level is such a cool feature too. I prefered the easier levels and wish it had more people making cool levels in the community.

YouTube algorithm is a mysterious one.
Analytic graph of YouTube views, a video with 20,000 views shows a sharp climb to around 6,000 views in the first few days and a very flat line for the next two years. Towards the most recent end of the graph is another sharp vertical climb, showing the total number of views suddenly going from a little under 7,000 to over 20,000 in just a handful of days.

Considering the last two videos I’ve posted on YouTube were those two spikes in January I have no idea why the algorithm suddenly decided to push my shorts more now… perhaps it would be a good time to post more?

There it is! The golden nut statue and the final achievement I needed in Satisfactory! Had a great time in this game, now I need to find something else to automate— I mean play.

After over 140 hours I finally “beat” Satisfactory. Easily one of my favourite games from the last few years. So many good design choices by the developers, except for the nightmare-fuel driven leaping spider crab things: they can get in the bin.

I really hope I get to post more videos in my own channels this year. Last year I only managed 5 but this December just gone was my best performing month yet on YouTube apparently…
