This is basically the palette he recommended at the start of the class, and once we’ve become more comfortable with that we can branch out a bit. I can understand it though, I think I would be too overwhelmed otherwise with more choices! I do underpainting in raw umber but that’s more like a drawing

I draw the line at 1000 koroks for a golden turd though.
Having said that my kid saw this fairy ring of mushrooms that didn’t quite connect at the top the other day and was like “that looks like a korok puzzle!” and I could not be prouder

there’s a robin in the garden that’s chowing down on a nice juicy worm that’s like 3/4 the length of its body. yeah! you go buddy! it’s 7AM. it’s early. you’re the bird. you’re the one who got it. love this for you. big thanks to Nature for briefly dragging me out of existential despair today
