It is really cool how the folks who have spent decades claiming that there’s this massive persecution of the church here in the west. And how America is constantly attacking the church are now standing with Trump and allowing him to attack the church. Well done American Christians.

Honestly, it should be far more disturbing to people who claim to be Christians when any truly cruel policy is even suggested by an administration. And yet a lot of of them embrace cruelty.

In that story about the guy whose wife’s lost her new job with the VA due to Trump‘s hiring freeze, what stands out to me? The husband‘s assumption that this was an unintended consequence. Dude. It was completely intended. This is what people voted for Trump actually voted for.

So when the comics and the movies started to move away from using the phrase, “truth, justice, and the American way” they were folks that got very upset with the idea that the American Way part got dropped. But to be honest, I feel like Superman‘s values don’t align with the modern American way.
