Aren't these by itself pretty good numbers, even if below expectation? A 3% consumption rise a year sounds decent of it continues.

Seems like reasonable choices to me.
The dino would be tricky to spot without a black outline if above a mid-tone background. Similar for the ghost - who also looks more ghostly with the pillow shading.
The fire creature wouldn't look bright with a dark outline.

Here in the Netherlands, whole cities live on the income of artists that were starving during their life.
But if you don't make a lot of money as a current artist, then you should just stop and any support is considered waste.
